Milwaukee Backgammon Club

Whether you are an experienced backgammon player or just learning the game you are welcome to join us to enjoy one of the world’s oldest and still most exciting games.

Wednesdays

We meet every Wednesday night at McGinn’s All-Star Sports Bar, 5901 W Bluemound Rd, Milwaukee, WI 53213. Tournaments are held on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Wednesdays of each month; open play on the 3rd and 5th Wednesdays. We will start forming 4-player tournament brackets at 6 pm, you can arrive later but the earlier you arrive the more opportunity you will have to play. Informal open play usually starts around 5 or 5:15 on Wednesdays so come early if you like. For more details on how our tournaments are structured check out our Tournaments page.

Saturdays

Most Saturdays we have a group that meets for open play at Highland House 12741 N Port Washington Rd, Mequon, WI 53092. Play starts at noon and typically goes to 6 pm or later, but you can come and go as you wish. Occasionally play is at a different location and some Saturdays we don’t have it so before heading out email saturday@mkebackgammon.org to make sure it is happening and confirm the location.
